Singin’ in the Rain at the Palace Theatre

January 29, 2013

‘Singing in the Rain’ is one of my favourite musicals. A simple plot peppered with great tap and feel-good singing numbers!

So when the opportunity arose to see the stage musical, I jumped at the chance! I got tickets through lastminute.com (£22.50 for dress circle seats!) and took my friend Emily along on a Tuesday night.

The stage production was excellent. I don’t really want to describe it too much as it has its surprises, but also sticks to the film really well. Just go and see it!!! It makes you realise you… “Gotta dance!”

1920s Charleston

March 9, 2012

I’m currently learning how to dance 1920s charleston! It’s really fun but quite hard because you need to keep your top half straight and then your legs swing about and I tend to get a bit confused and have nearly fallen on my face a few times…

That said, it is really fun to bop along and charleston!

Here are a few vintage 1920s charleston videos for me to aspire to and for you to discover! Enjoy…!
